Welcome to the website of the New Hope Foundation from Poland Autism can be cured!Autism is a kind of genetically conditioned developmental disorder that causes severe difficulties with the perception of the world, communication and social contacts. The disorder usually manifests itself in the first three years of a person’s life. Autism is so complicated a disease that its causes have not yet been understood. Therefore, doctors and therapists using the so-called DAN! (Defeat Autism Now!) approach have recently been concentrating on treating all the medical aspects of the disorder. Making a proper diagnosis and employing a proper therapy adjusted to an individual child require an interdisciplinary approach. A holistic treatment usually involves setting a strict diet regime, supplementation, ntensive psychological and speech-language therapy. As a result of using the DAN! approach, more and more autistic children make great progress in their development and many of them even enjoy full health. The foundation's aims are to: 1. Help people, particularly children, suffering from developmental disorders, 2. Run wide-ranging activities supporting their development, 3. Run and engage in health, educational, charity and scientific initiatives related to developmental disorders, 4. Organize medical, therapeutic, rehabilitational, financial and material support for people with developmental and mental disorders, especially children, 5. Provide support to people in especially difficult living and financial conditions. The main aim of the foundation is to organize financial, therapeutic and other kinds of support for children with disabilities. As a result of using holistic methods of treatment, autistic children become able to function in a normal and independent way. Many children that since being diagnosed as autistic have been treated with the use of the most modern methods, now show only a fraction of their previous autistic behaviours. In most cases, properly treated children will be able to live happy and independent lives and be professionally successful. However, the costs of such long-term treatment are so high that most parents cannot afford it. Even the smallest amount of money can shorten the distance between our children and values that are of the greatest importance for everyone – health and independence. Support children suffering from autism. |
